Listen to the final debate tonight. Decide for yourself. Who is going to make positive changes that improves your life and the next generations?

I am working to help elect Barack Obama as the next President of the United States.

He is the right man for the job and he has a clear stance on issues that I care deeply about such as civil rights, reproductive freedom, and issues affecting children such as health care and education. Barack has committed himself to providing a brighter future for our children by working to achieve energy independence and fighting global climate change. I believe Barack will carefully consider issues, work to find peace around the world and put America back on the road to prosperity and happiness.

Check Barack’s position on your issues:

Barack is a good man and he will prove to be a fine President.

Jews and Israelis for Barack

As a community organizer, law professor, state senator, and United States Senator, Barack Obama has embodied the Jewish community’s strongest values. Barack Obama knows our history — one of persecution and resilience in the face of tragedy, of hard work and devotion to education, a strong sense of community, and a deep commitment to our country.

His devotion to Israel’s security, to the U.S.-Israel relationship, and to Israel’s right to self-defense has always been unshakable. Barack Obama stands shoulder-to-shoulder with us on the issues that our community has consistently fought to defend, including choice, civil rights, health care and church-state separation.

I hope you will watch this video and hear from some of those in the Jewish community who have come to know Barack and his family over the years. Their support for him is testament to the strong connection he has forged with the Jewish community over many years.

Stop the Hate Speach

John McCain and Sarah Palin have stopped talking about the issues, and have instead launched a strategy relying on fear-mongering, racial divisions, and hate. Together, we can show that Americans of all races won’t stand for this. I’ve signed onto ColorofChange’s open-letter calling out McCain and Palin. will publish it this week. Will you join us?

All of it plays on the much more sinister rumors in anonymous smear emails which claim Barack is Muslim, anti-American, and is somehow connected with terrorists. This strategy is powerful because Barack is Black, and it’s designed to make Barack’s race a disadvantage without appearing overtly racist.

As Americans of all stripes, we’ve seen how Barack Obama’s historic candidacy has moved our friends and family to have a more honest conversation about race in this country. It’s inspired a lot of people to step out of their comfort zone and confront racism in their own communities, with their friends, neighbors and families.
